IMG_5551a   The city’s newest rooftop oasis, complete with lux cabanas, tropical furnishings, succulent nibbles, sultry cocktails and semi-outdoor pool is now open for business. On Saturday night, the Rooftop at Revere celebrated their grand opening, complete with cocktails, live music and fabulous fashion. Vogue Entertainment Editor Jill Demling and celebrity photographer agent Karen Mulligan, who co-own the surf/swimwear line, Pret-a-Surf, hosted the bash. And they even brought their good friend, Hollywood actress Christina Ricci.
The Pret-a-Surf line gives women surfers the option to dress chic while still being athletic. Their line also includes cover-ups and swimwear, which the staff at the Revere Hotel will be wearing all summer long. The wait staff and bartenders modeled the plaid and striped patterns for us on Saturday, while pouring drinks and handing out delicious hors d’oeuvres. These nautical designs make for the perfect pool or beachwear. Even Christina Ricci played up on this nautical theme, wearing an anchor-IMG_5557patterned dress to the event. Beyond the anchIMG_5560or-embellished dress, it was clear that Christina was only in attendance to support her dear friends Jill and Karen. When asked if she would share her thoughts about her “Casper” days she coyly said “No,” noting that the night was about Pret-a-Surf fashions and not about her work with said cartoon character … even if he is friendly.
Even though there was a Hollywood celebrity in the house this past weekend, you don’t need an actress in your presence to feel like a celebrity at Rooftop at Revere. The lounge chairs, the cabanas, the specialty cocktails, and the stunning Boston skyline view all combine to give you that Hollywood feel. And maybe Ricci wIMG_5563ill even stop by again – because she let us in on a little secret — she loves Boston!
The 16,000 square foot urban oasis will be open from 4PM to 10:30PM through June, and from 11AM to 10:30PM in July and August. The fee for non-hotel guests is $30, with the option to rent a cabana for more. Get there early to reserve your spot because this is bound to be Boston’s newest summertime hotspot! http://www.reverehotel.com/#rooftop
