Urban Improv Banned in Boston


The 20th anniversary of Urban Improv’s Banned in Boston at The House of Blues Boston offered downright useless tips for surviving life in the Hub, guaranteed to have you laughing out loud along with its cast of almost-stars. Dirty Water TV Reporter Caroline Lunny takes you back stage. The cast of this madcap musical revue features some of the region’s leading media, business, non-profit and political leaders, all who put aside dignity and pride to help raise money for Urban Improv. With only one rehearsal and no acting experience required, it promised to provide plenty of laughs along the way.

One of the founders of Dirty Water Media, Julie Fairweather serves as the company’s managing editor, marketing director and contributing writer/producer. Julie is a past President and former Executive Director of The Publicity Club of New England, a 300-member trade organization for the Greater Boston public relations community. She also taught broadcast journalism and radio and television producing at her alma mater Emerson College in Boston, MA. Her most accomplished position is as the mother to her three amazing children.
