With just one day to go, we’re on the homestretch to Valentine’s Day and if you haven’t made plans yet, take a deep breath, we’ve got you covered! We combed through all the standard wine, chocolate and roses options and come up with a few great new options for you.

Regardless of your relationship status, these events aim to please:

CLEAN SLATE:  NOT YOUR AVERAGE VALENTINE’S PARTY – The matchmakers at Three Day Rule want you to leave the past in the past, as they play cupid during their Clean Slate Party. The crew takes over Alibi Bar inside the Liberty Hotel, where it will be hosting a V-Day bash filled with eligible singles looking to start anew in the dating department. What makes this get-together truly special? Singles looking to wipe their romantic slate clean are encouraged to bring a photo of their exes, so they can toss that has-been into a “burning cauldron of love” and watch their old baggage go up in smoke. Besides offering a sense of symbolic cleansing, the party provide access to all the necessary appetizers and cocktails necessary for striking up conversation with potential new flames, as well as some ice-breaking games of truth or dare. CITY WINERY FOR LOVERS & SINGLES – City Winery offers two different options for Valentine’s Day.

Their Cold Bar Kitchen will be offering the Ultimate High-End Valentine’s Day experience. Impress your date with a 3-tier seafood tower, featuring jumbo shrimp, lobster, oysters, clams, tuna tartare and black mussels. This seafood tower will go with a bottle of Sanger 2008 Champagne. After dinner City Winery hosts Noam Pikelny & Stuart Duncan, both musicians are highly talented and own many awards for country and bluegrass music. There will be free chocolate-covered strawberries available during their performance.

Then for those less romantic lovers – or singles for that matter – City Winery’s Haymarket Lounge is hosting Larger Than Life: The Ultimate Boy Band Tribute show performing 40+ boyband songs by the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees, O-Town, Boyz II Men, LFO, One Direction and more!

SUITE OF SWEETS AT FOOL’S ERRAND – Perhaps you and your sweetheart can make a connection over confection at Fool’s Errand.  This Valentine’s Day the venue is turning their adult snack bar into a Suite of Sweets! Fool’s Errand will host a special dessert-only menu from chef Tiffani Faison and her talented pastry chef, Dee Steffen Chinn. These experts crafted a unique menu that includes a rose cupcake, conversation heart sugar cookies and more! Besides the bar bites, Fool’s Errand will also be serving up their signature rotating list of craft cocktails, wines, bubbles, fortified wines and apéritifs.
