Bruins/Beers at Sully’s Tap– Where Old School Boston Still Exists

The Best Hockey Bar in Boston
The Best Hockey Bar in Boston

Unless you live under a rock you know the Bruins are in the middle of Bullying the Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals right now and unless your one of those “career people” you probably spent last night at a bar watching the game even though you knew you’d be up at 6 feeling like an assbag for it. Luckily for me (not so much for my B of A account) I’m far from a career person and spent Game 3 at my most beloved Sports Bar, Sullivan’s Tap.

For those of you unfamiliar, Sully’s Tap represents all that is still right in Boston. They serve cold beer and show sports with the sound on, that’s it. If you walk in with colored pants and a V-neck you will get served, but make no mistake you will get laughed at. If you try to charge a round on Daddy’s credit card your shit out of luck because they don’t accept cards, $traight Cash Homey. But, if you want to step out for a Bruins game during this playoff run to a place that truly appreciates the team, will leave you to your business and let you enjoy the game with no charades or BS promotions, Sully’s Tap is the place for you.

Oh, and they don’t serve food–but they have the self-proclaimed “Best vending machine in the City”.

You can view Sullivan’s Drink Prices on the MassNightly App (shameless plug) available for download in both the App Store and Google Play Store.

If you like Sully’s you will love GangGreen TV ( a weekly Celtics talk show co-hosted by my favorite Sully’s bartender, Dave. Whatup Dave?!?
