Originally a day to celebrate Mexico’s victory over French rule in 1863, Cinco de Mayo has been adopted by the U.S. as a day to celebrate Mexican food, culture, traditions, and—of course—booze. Lifestyle brands throughout the Greater Boston Area are gearing up to offer fun mid-week reasons to celebrate. Here are just a few!
MidiCi: Located at 463 Assembly Row in Somerville, MidiCi Wood-Fired Italian will be offering a Margherita & Margaritas deal! On Cinco de Mayo, purchase a flight of MidiCi Margaritas and get a Margherita Pizza (made with house tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, basil & extra virgin olive oil, $13) or Devil’s Pizza for spice-lovers (made with house tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, house made spicy sausage, spicy Italian salami, and red chilies, $15) for ½ price. MidiCi’s Margarita Flights are $18 and guests can choose 4 of the following flavors: guava, mango, blueberry, peach, pineapple, strawberry, passion fruit, blackberry, black cherry, & devil’s (house special with spicy chilies). Offer is only valid per person and cannot be shared. For more information call (617) 764-1541.
