Some of Boston’s favorite dining destinations – Monica’s Mercato, Sullivan’s Castle Island & Mike’s Pastry – are the 1st vendors to be announced at the expansive food hall from Patina Restaurant Group, set to open this winter.

Patina Restaurant Group is bringing Hub Hall, a food hall due to open this winter featuring an exciting array of food and beverage, to The Hub on Causeway, the joint-venture development between Delaware North and Boston Properties at 80 Causeway St., adjacent to TD Garden and North Station in Boston.

Whether arriving or departing North Station, taking in a game or concert, or just exploring the neighborhood, guests will find Hub Hall to be an authentically Boston dining destination for all ages, with 18 vendors that will feature local favorites, international cuisines, health-conscious foods and indulgent dishes.

The over 16,000-square-foot space will be the only food hall in Boston run by an experienced hospitality group, with restaurant partners ranging from beloved Boston brands to new market entries, as well as totally new ventures and concepts from notable chefs who are nationally and internationally known. Hub Hall will truly prove to be the food hall that satiates Boston’s appetite and lives up to its tagline, “Boston Eats Here.”

Patina Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the first three vendors coming to Hub Hall. These family-owned Boston businesses bring over 150 years of authentic service and thoughtful handmade cuisine to Hub Hall:

Monica’s Mercato – Family run for over 20 years, Monica’s Mercato is a North End mainstay, serving classic Italian sandwiches made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients possible. Owned and operated by the Mendoza family, Monica’s specializes in Italian cured meats, fresh cheeses, and house-made rolls. Their beloved Italian sub is crafted from freshly sliced prosciutto, salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic, olive oil, and cherry peppers on a roll. Monica’s Mercato in Hub Hall will be the first location of Monica’s outside of the North End.

Sullivan’s Castle Island – Sullivan’s Castle Island, a South Boston landmark, has been family-owned and operated since 1951, providing locals and visitors with quality beach food at reasonable prices. With their seasonal flagship location drawing large early morning crowds on opening day each spring, Sullivan’s in Hub Hall, serving all their fried seafood favorites, will give customers a taste of New England summer all year long.

Mike’s Pastry – As one of Boston’s most iconic brands, Mike’s Pastry has been serving classic Italian pastries, including their famous cannoli, from their modest bakery on Hanover Street in the North End for over 70 years. Visiting Mike’s Pastry has become a Boston “must try” tradition when in town for area residents and tourists alike. Mike’s newest location at Hub Hall, conveniently located adjacent to the North Station commuter rail, will make bringing treats home that much easier.

Hub Hall will be Patina Restaurant Group’s second venture in the Hub on Causeway development after opening Banners Kitchen & Tap this October. The Hub on Causeway features a variety of retail, hospitality, and entertainment tenants, including Star Market, ArcLight Cinemas, Big Night Live, CitizenM Hotel, HUB50HOUSE, and more.
