In an effort to continuously show appreciation to the nurses on the front lines, even more so on National Nurses Day, today Wednesday, May 6th, Nutré Meal Plans joined forces with I Love Boston Sports, Boston’s renowned creative force behind the most iconic sports art and apparel, to deliver 100 NK95 protective masks, t-shirts from their collection and a few “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” banners. The MGH nurses were thrilled to received the items and be honored by these incredible local businesses in such a uniquely caring way.

When the pandemic began, the Nutré team alongside many pro athletes from the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins started donating thousands of meals per month to nurses, doctors and medical professionals. People can even go to the website to submit their own donation for a loved one who is a medical professional.
Through the “Feeding Heroes” donation program the Nutré staff pledges to match any amount they receive in donations. Nutré is providing hundreds of meals weekly to the staff at Lahey Clinic in Peabody, MGH (a new partner this week), Lawrence General Hospital, Beth Israel Lahey Health, Lowell General, Mount Auburn and Cambridge Health Alliance.
In addition to Feeding Heroes, Nutré’s well-balanced, healthy meals meet the standard by hospitals so in order to streamline logistics and ease the process and burden on hospitals, they are actually purchasing Nutré Meals to feed their COVID-19 patients.
