Nutré Meal Plans, New England’s largest meal delivery service, recently announced their official partnership with Needham-based nonprofit, Ellie Fund. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Nutré team created the “Low Carb Ellie Fund Donut”. Throughout the month of October, a portion of proceeds from all donut sales will be donated to the Ellie Fund, to further support the organizations’ efforts in raising funds and easing everyday stresses for breast cancer patients by providing essential family services, such as grocery gift cards, transportation, childcare, and healthy prepared meals from Nutré Meal.

Located north of Boston in Peabody, Massachusetts, Nutré Meals is a healthy meal delivery service offering premium quality meals to New England. In 2017, the Perrina brothers, Angelo, Lucio, and Valentino, founded the company after they had seen the profound effects of meal prepping for their diabetic father. They saw that clean and portion controlled eating had a multitude of positive reactions on the human body including increased energy, weight loss, and overall better attitude.

As the largest meal delivery service in New England, customers are able to choose from a wide variety of meal plans that can be customized for individual goals. Diet options include weight loss and balance while there are also many dietary preference options such as gluten free, plant based, low sodium, diabetic friendly, and more.

At Nutre Meals, healthy food is made delicious. Meals sent to the recipient are fresh and made to order without any freezing or leftovers as the company prides itself on freshness. Recipes are simple but full of flavor as only the best of the best ingredients are used in each meal.

From Italy to the North Shore, the faces behind Nutré Meals know a thing or two about good food.

Ultimately, the Perrina family wants people to know that healthy food can taste great.  Your tastebuds will agree!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nutré Meals wanted to give back to the frontline workers of their community.  Feeding Heroes was launched and because of its success, the company wanted to continue their efforts to give back. After being introduced to some members of the Ellie Fund, the Perrina brothers knew their next venture as there are nearly 7,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in Massachusetts each year.

The Ellie Fund, a Needham based nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting patients, funding care, and providing hope through providing essential services such as grocery gift cards, transportation to treatment, childcare, housekeeping, integrative therapies, and meal delivery to breast cancer patients residing or receiving treatment in Massachusetts regardless of economic circumstances.

Together, Nutré Meals and the Ellie Fund believed that they could truly impact the families that they serve. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team at Nutré Meals created the “Low Carb Ellie Fund Donut”. A portion of proceeds from all donut sales throughout the month of October will be donated back to the Ellie Fund to further support the organizations’ efforts.

And remember healthy is delicious? To the surprise of many, these chocolate glazed donuts that are bursting with flavor and decorated with a white chocolate frosting with red, pink, and purple sprinkles are also diabetic friendly, gluten free, low sodium, and vegetarian.  October is already flying by – Try it out for yourself here!
