ROUNDING UP THE #SPREADWICKEDJOY PACKING PARTY!

Wicked smart, wicked cool, wicked pissah, we’ve all heard these terms before but what about Do Wicked Good? Do Wicked Good is a New England based non-profit organization that works to inspire the community to become the best versions of themselves mentally, physically, emotionally and in all other aspects of their lives. The organization’s mission to inspire and impact is seen through their motto, “Don’t just do good, Do wicked good”. They continue to work alongside other non-profits that align with these values such as the Spread the Joy Foundation.

Together, they hope to #SpreadWickedJoy by packing joy boxes, filled with therapeutic arts and crafts including reading materials, crayons, markers, etc., to be delivered to pediatric patients that are hospitalized in order to bring more positivity and hope to their current situation.

This past Saturday, September 10th, Do Wicked Good partnered with the Spread the Joy Foundation at Big Night Live where they raced to achieve their goal to #SpreadWickedJoy to 1500 pediatric patients. Thanks to the Boston influencer and charitable community, this goal was achieved. This one day event was the largest Joy Box packing event in history. Although the number of spectators had to be capped, it did not take away from the event but rather added to its exclusivity. Some of Boston’s local celebrities such as Gordie Gronkowski and Jocelyn Saber, Boston TikTokers Kevin Cooney, Tommy Guarino, and more, worked on teams to compete against one another for this special cause. A little friendly competition never hurts! Every person who donated was entered to win a spot on one of these celebrity packing teams and the lucky winners were randomly drawn.

The best part about these Joy Boxes is the fact that the people involved are both giving joy and getting joy. The obvious motivation for these boxes is to put a smile on children’s faces who have endured challenges and hardships that some of us may never have to deal with in a lifetime but, the physical packing of the boxes is almost just as rewarding. You feel good knowing that you are going to make a difference and bring light to a dark situation.

If you weren’t at Studio B on Saturday helping pack 1504 Joy Boxes – you probably already know how much you missed!  But there is still ONE last chance to experience the joy! A Spin Class fundraiser & gathering on October 1st at @revdcycling in Copley Square.  Spread Wicked Joy has passed $16,000 raised, but the 1500 boxes cost about $35,000 to make & deliver to the pediatric patients! If you would like to hep them reach their goal, click here now to donate.

Atmosphere is everything and it is truly hard to capture in words. This event was magical, wholesome, playful, and comforting – the energy was infectious! Dirty Water TV got to experience all of these feelings and emotions as they headed over to Big Night Live this past Saturday to get in on the action. Check it out!
