A rejuvenated and reinvented Joe’s Waterfront reopens in Boston’s North End Waterfront Neighborhood

After a year of hibernation and an impressive redesign project, Joe’s Waterfront is ready to re-open its doors and welcome back guests to the Atlantic Avenue location, nestled at the crown of Boston’s North End Waterfront. Refreshed from patio to private dining, the restaurant decor honors and celebrates the spirit and history of the surrounding area.

“It’s the same warm and friendly service with an elevated level of flavor that brings something new and exciting to our special waterfront spot in the neighborhood,” says General Manager Samantha Reynolds, who joins the Joe’s team after seven years as Assistant General Manager at sister restaurant Abe & Louie’s.
Throughout the modernized dining room, nautically themed artwork and décor adorn the walls and surround diners against the gorgeous Boston Harbor backdrop that’s been woven into the waterfront’s story for decades. Upstairs at Joe’s debuts a comfortable new dining, lounge and bar area with spectacular waterfront views from above. The perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and good meal, the cozy space now features a plush seating area settled in front of a state of the art large screen television, making it a go-to spot for reconnecting with old friends, enjoying a game and cold beer, sipping a great bourbon and watching golf with the guys, or just brunching with your hive on the weekends. Adjacent to the lounge is a separate private dining area – an ideal venue for now-allowed safe and socially distant small gatherings, group dinners, bridal and baby showers, micro-weddings, and more.

Executive Chef Albiero Gomez brings his culinary talent to the Joe’s Waterfront kitchen from sister Newbury Street location – ready to deliver a tasty new experience to guests.  The new menu features creatively flavorful dishes and modern fare made with local ingredients fresh from the ocean, farm, and neighborhood purveyors, including impressive seafood specialties, savory steaks, and more.  In addition to classic dine-in, take-out, and third-party delivery options, Joe’s will offer an array of grab-and-go snacks, salads and sandwiches, and picnic-style packs for families, make-at-home meal kits with feasting favorites, bottled cocktail versions of their popular Back Bay Sangria, and more.

Full bars up and downstairs will still serve classic favorites, but also feature fun new craft beer and cocktail selections from local areas brewers, distillers, and more. From the wine room, Tavistock Wine and Beverage Director Benjamin Appleby, whose secret wine list at Abe & Louie’s has been a fan favorite for years, has carefully curated a wine list of hard-to-find wines and affordably approachable varietals for every palate. Guests can savor these sips indoors or for a nightcap alongside water views and late night bites just steps from the bustling North End neighborhood.

“We’re excited to reopen and rejoin the area that has always been so lively and welcoming,” says Tiffany Sweet, Director of Training at Tavistock Restaurant Collection, owners and operators of both Joe’s locations, Waterfront and Newbury Street, as well as Back Bay landmarks Abe & Louie’s and Atlantic Fish, and Coach Grille in Wayland. “After such a tough year, we’re really looking forward to reconnecting with the community and surrounding areas of Boston through events, neighborhood promotions, and partnerships with local businesses,” she adds. “Our management staff has come together from a number of our sister restaurants and have been hard at work planning several fun things in the works to welcome everyone back, from themed brunches to guest chef pop-ups, give back nights, craft beer takeovers, and more.  We can’t wait for our guests to be a part of it all.”
Joe’s Waterfront will be open daily for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch starting in early April. For the full menu and more information, please visit the Joe’s Waterfront website or social media accounts @joeswaterfront.
