Jax Food & Games for Dos Equis Weekend at Killington

Since opening 10 years ago, Jax Food & Games has grown from humble beginnings to one of Killington’s premier locations for food, drinks, and live entertainment! When Dirty Water Media stopped by to kick off Dos Equis Weekend at Killington, we were blown away by the friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, amazing food and drink and the love that everyone had for Dos Equis!
Dirty Water TV Host Jessica Strohm talked with the owner of Jax to find out why it’s such a special place. The building was purchased and renovated in the spring of 2003 becoming the little sister to it’s neighbor, The Pickle Barrel Nightclub. Working off of a daily revised “cocktail napkin design,” Scrub-A-Dub Pub opened in the Spring of 2004.
After the success of Scrub-A-Dub Pub, a crew was assembled to begin work on the upper portion of the building. In December of 2005, JAX Food & Games opened it’s doors for the first time. The inspiration for Jax’s name came from many sources: the owner’s son, the classic sidewalk game, and the famous New Orleans beer.
Today Jax has become Killington’s hometown bar, offering weekly live entertainment, incredible food, and locally crafted draft beer. Open 7 days a week from 3pm to close!
