Massnightly was fortunate enough to be invited to the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester’s benefit at Uno’s Pizzeria and Grill this past Thursday, to help judge a wing competition between several local restaurants. Who better to help judge a wing competition from the Massnightly team, than THE WING KING HIMSELF!

“I had a blast at the King of the Wing competition. I was honored to be selected to help judge a wing competition for a great cause! Uno’s had sectioned off half the restaurant dedicated to the competition, so everyone who was dining was well aware of what was happening. The local celebrities that were alongside me were: Santi Deoleo from Jam’n 94.5, Nacho Extreme from Wahlburgers, Adolfo from 98.5 the Sports Hub, Manny Canuto from Boston’s Finest and George Foreman III owner of The Club by George Foreman.

Participating restaurants included: Kings, Fenmore Grill, Cask’n Flagon, Uno’s and South Street Diner! It was an all you can eat MAYHEM! Each restaurant brought there own version of spicy, and “variety”. Variety ranged from Thai  to Sweet Chili, and everything in-between… and believe me I tried all of them!

Right around 8 o clock we were called to judge the wings. All the celebrity judges were in charge of voting for the buffalo style wings, the ONLY kind of wings. Each participating restaurant described the style it was cooked, the sauce and how it was prepared. In the end, Fenmore Grill brought home the crown. Safe to say they brought the heat!!!
