Designed after the Danish concept of warm coziness during the winter months, join this relaxing weekend off the coast of Portland, Maine. New England winters can be long, cold and draining, but the hygge philosophy makes them delightful when you create a warm atmosphere to enjoy the good things in life with good people.
This retreat will include reiki, breath work, yoga, mediation, aromatherapy foot soaks, and nutrition. In addition to these offerings there will be a DIY facial class, optional full moon snowshoe excursion and add on massage options.
Nestled in the quintessential Inn of Peaks Island guests of this coastal winter retreat will find warmth and relaxation during this two night excursion. The program will allow guests to slowly unwind from their stress with wellness offerings, delicious food & wine and a cozy atmosphere.

Schedule: Take the 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm ferry from Portland to arrive Friday night. Enjoy a delicious dinner served in the dining room at 7pm.
Saturday morning the day will begin with a yoga class followed by a healthy breakfast. The retreat program will begin with sessions in nutrition, reiki, breathwork, and time to rest or use the steam room. A mid-day break will include lunch and a specialized stretch class lead by the chiropractor and host, Dr. Meghan Schoening. Saturday will end with an optional sunset snowshoe or walk, dinner and an evening foot soak and foot massage.
Sunday morning there will be a meditation and yoga offered before breakfast. After breakfast guests will indulge in DIY facials with amazing local products and aromatherapy. The retreat will end with an amazing lunch and farewells.
