Spotlight is the heart-wrenching story forever linked to Boston and one of its largest and most influential media outlets, The Boston Globe. In 2002, The Boston Globe Spotlight investigative team broke the Catholic church sex abuse scandal and subsequent cover-up. How these reporters broke this sensitive story is the subject of the new movie “Spotlight” which made it’s red carpet debut here in Boston.  Dirty Water TV reporter Kayla Harrity attended the Boston premiere for the film where both the Hollywood stars and those Globe reporters walked the red carpet. She caught up with the stars and the reporters who talked about making this controversial film and how important it was to them to get the story right.
