4. JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR STREAMS FREE ON YOUTUBE
Lyricist Tim Rice has said he hopes a free online showing of musical Jesus Christ Superstar will provide people with some entertainment during the lockdown. The production is just one of the many he co-wrote in his decades-long collaborations with Andrew Lloyd Webber. Jesus Christ Superstar will be available online for 48 hours – starting today at 2pm – just in time for Easter weekend – as part of a series called The Shows Must Go On! that features a selection of Lloyd-Webber’s musicals shown for free during the coronavirus lockdown. 5. WAHLBURGERS DELIVERS TO THOSE IN NEED ON THE SOUTH SHORE

Wahlburgers chef and owner Paul Wahlberg is hitting the streets in his food truck throughout the week to deliver meals those in need at various locations, including Father Bill’s & MainSpring shelter, South Shore YMCA’s emergency shelter, and its two emergency childcare centers for essential and medical workers. Additionally, Wahlberg’s Hingham based restaurant Alma Nove is providing prepared meals to elderly residents living in local senior housing.
Wahlberg’s efforts are part of a partnership with the South Shore YMCA, which recently launched a weekly COVID-19 Community Support Challenge. Each week, the Y will partner with different restaurants and retailers to provide warm meals and supplies to the organization’s food pantry participants, emergency shelter guests, and kids and teachers at the Y’s emergency childcare centers, according to a press release. The South Shore YMCA hopes to raise $10,000 in donations from community members in order to support this challenge, which Wahlberg said he immediately agreed to join the effort. “When I heard about the idea, my immediate reaction was, ‘Of course we’ll do this. We’ll figure out a way to make this work.’”

For over half a century, Phillips Chocolates has been making Easter Sunday mornings a little bit sweeter for Greater Boston families. This year promises to be no different, as far as the candy part of the equation is concerned, as the Morrissey Boulevard institution has taken measures in response to the pandemic to make sure their treasured chocolate treats make their way to loyal customers safely.
“The team there is working away, and we’ve done a few things … we’ve beefed up our online staff so we can take care of orders that way, we’re doing curbside pickup, and we’ve instituted all the other things everyone else does: keeping patrons and customers away from each other, and also from staff, in addition to the sanitizing we do on a constant basis. We’re trying to do our part, and we’re trying to get folks their chocolate in time for Easter,” said Phillips Chocolates Owner Joe Sammartino.

We all know that Easter is not going to be the normal spring holiday that we all enjoy with Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Baskets overflowing with bunnies, peeps and other treats.
